     Backround

Einstein was born in Ulm, Wurttemberg, Germany on March 14, 1879, the son of Hermann Einstein and Pauline Koch Einstein.[1] He lived in a variety of places such as Munich, Italy, and Switzerland. Furthermore, his youngest sister, Maria (whom he called Maja) recalled that Einstein was slow to learn to speak but he still had the powers of consentration for which he became famous. Einsteins greatness arose from the fact that his theories solved fundamental problems and presented new ideas. Much of his fame came from the fact that several of those ideas were strange and hard to understand but yet were proved true. He also became known for his support of political and social causes as well. Einstein finished high school in 1896 in Aarau, Switzerland. In 1901 he became a Swiss citizen, he gained his diploma, and he accepted a position as technical assistant in the Swiss patent office. In1903, Albert and Mileva married and had a daughter they named Liersel and then had Hans Albert in 1904 and Eduard in 1910. In 1905, he obtained his doctor degree.  He died in Princeton on April 18, 1955.

 Significance

Albert Einstein, was the most important physicist of the 1900's and one of the greatest and most famous scientists of all time.[2] He is considered the icon of 20th-century science.[3] He was a theoretical physicist, a scientist who creates and develops theories of solved fundamental problems and presented new ideas. He is famous for his theory of relativity, which involves the relationship between matter and energy. His most famous formula E=mc2, which explains that mass, m, can be changed into energy, E. A big moment for Albert Einstein was receiving the Nobel Prize in physics for his paper on the photoelectric effect in 1921. Later on Einstein became a US citizen in 1940 and retired from his post in 1945. Albert Einstein will always be remembered throughout history for his genius thoughts that he shared with the world.

I thought it was interesting that Albert only moved to the U.S in 1940 I thought he moved here earlier in his life. I liked the picture of Albert you chose to put in your article.
