H-bomb

Seamus McGovern

Background

The H-bomb was created in 1951 by Edward Teller. The bomb explosion was 750 times stronger then the A-bombs. The H-bomb was dropped on two cities in World War II which were Hiroshima and Nagasaki and caused tons and tons of damage. people were sick and the explosion killed a lot of people and the U.S.A even warned people to evacuate. This bomb is not radioactive it is very modern. Also this bomb was so big that people wondered how it can be assembled.

 Significance

The significance of this bomb was that with the dropping of the bomb we won World War II and it sadly caused many deaths and injures in Japan. But the USA is planning that this model bomb would never be dropped again because it causes to many injures and damage. people who weren't effected by the explosion it self consumed the fumes from the bomb which got them very very sick and caused them to die. Even little kids. But it has also been experimented by China France and also Russia but they had not agreed on not dropping it like the USA did. and if they ever do drop it it will be more powerful than the one that was dropped on japan because it will be modernized.

That was a huge explosion. Imagine an explosion today. That would be huge and would probably cause twice as much damage as the H-bomb

750 times stronger than an A-bomb, thats huge. I can see why it was a major event in that time period. You said that the bomb was made in 1951 so if it was, how was it dropped on Japan in 1945? Was there an earlier model?
