Significance

George Santayana was signifigant in many ways. In the 1900s he got very famous for all of the books taht he wrote. Santayana's first book he wrote was The Scene of Beauty. It got famous because it ws one of the first major book about aesthetics in the United States. Santayana also wrote other books as well like The life of Reason and The Realms of Being. George Santayana also got very famous from His therory on naturelist metaphysics. His theory was that he thought that human cognitions, cultural practices, and social institutions evolved so much that it helped make it easy for people to enjoy happiness. The final reason the Geoge Santayana was signifigant was that he lived to be so old. He was born in 1863 and died in 1952 which made almost 89 years old. Back then it was very hard to live for that long and it is still pretty rare to be 89 today. This is why George Santayana is a signifigant person.

something that I found was very interesting was that Santayana lived for so long. As you mentioned in your article it was extremely rare for people to live that long. I liked the photograph you chose for the article and that you have links to the books because I personaly have never heard of these books and would like to know more about them. Overall I really enjoyed this article and am glad I choose it. I have never even heard of George Santayana.

something that I found interesting was that he moved from Spain to Boston and he had to learn english. Being an author now he could write books in both Spanish and English. Did he write books in both languages? Overall a very good article. I chose this article because I didn't know who George Santayana was but now I do.
