The most famous science fiction novel is Robert A. Heinlein Stranger in a Strange Land. The story starts with the history of the first manned expediton to mars.The voulenteers are 3 married coupls nd one man who proposes so that he may go. ince the Envoy lands it is never heard from again. After the third world warr another ship lands on mars and reports that there is native life on mars and one human survivor. The survivor is valentine michael smith the child pf two members of the envoys crew. The ship brings him back to earth. He looks like a human but thinks like a martian. Owning a multimillion dollar corporation that owns mars makes him a big figure on Earth. He doesnt understand lies and deceit. His customs are different and he enters deep states of meditation. He doesnt understand even the simplest parts of being human.
The book brought up multiple ideas. One of which is Heaven is a company with god as the ceo and angels as his employees. Sme people think that the story is a modern retelling on the story of jesus.

This article was very informative. I've never heard of Stranger in a Strange Land, but it sounds like a very good book. It has a very clever plot. How did Valentine own a multimillion dollar corporation if he had just come to Earth? Also, what happened to the crew of the Envoy?

The company was left to him from his mother having made the first trip to mars and creating the company to build the shuttle. After the Envoy landed it took thirty years for the next ship to come. Most of the envoy probably died from old age
