Iosif Vissarionovich Djugashvili, known as Joseph Stalin to us, was a dictator for the Soviet Union from 1929 to 1953. He grew up a poor boy with a a father who treated him unfairly. But, he was very smart and recieved a scholarship to a religious seminary. when he was a t this school, he became interested in Karl Marx and Marxism.
